Dr. Marcus Martin graduated from Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. He then joined his father in practice at the Fort Wayne Pet Hospital.
He started his career in veterinary medicine at the Fort Wayne Pet Hospital working in the kennel room until leaving for Purdue University in 1994 to achieve his Doctorate in Veterinary medicine.
Dr. Marcus and is wife, Heather, have 5 children. In his free time, (which isn't often with 5 children!), he enjoys running and is always training for the next mini marathon in Indianapolis. He also enjoys Hockey, Bowling, Woodworking and Tailgating at Purdue University Football Games. Boiler up!
Dr. Seth Nahrwold graduated from Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013.
He has been around veterinary medicine his entire life, like Marcus, he grew up in his father’s veterinary practice. He attended Concordia Lutheran High School and then Purdue University for his undergraduate and Veterinary degrees.
Dr. Seth and his wife, Becky, have 3 young children. He also has a Cavapoo puppy and two adopted cats. Besides enjoying spending quality time with his family, he enjoys playing and watching sports, fishing, and grilling.
Dr. Seth has a special interest in ACL repair, simple patellar lunation repair, and functional soft tissue surgeries.
Dr. Lynn Martin was born and raised in Huntertown Indiana. He graduated from Huntertown High School in 1956. Dr. Martin attended Purdue University with high hopes of becoming an Agriculture Teacher, but changed his mind when he realized his true passion was working with animals and their families. He graduated from Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1964. He served as a Captain in the US Army of the Veterinary Corps for 2 years at White Sands Missile Range New Mexico.
He opened his practice in the spring of 1969 in Fort Wayne Indiana. Dr. Martin and his wife DeMarise have 4 children and 13 grandchildren, many of whom have been or are currently employees at Fort Wayne Pet Hospital.
Dr. Martin is working part time now and is actively involved in the community as an adult leader for the St. Vincent Boy Scouts and the Allen County 4H Fair.
Dr. Sheila Dick is our primary skilled staff surgeon. Her exceptional skills have been a part of our practice since 1993. She has recently expanded her time with us and you may see her for regular check ups!
She grew up in Logansport, Indiana, and graduated from Purdue University as a Veterinarian in 1974. Dr. Sheila was one of six women to graduate in her class of 65 students. While at Purdue, she also earned her pilot license and met her future husband Ron, now a retired corporate pilot. She is the mother of 3 grown and successful daughters, one followed in her footsteps and is also a veterinarian. Sheila enjoys her horses and flying with her friends and family in her free time.
In 2011 she welcomed her first grandchild into this world and loves to visit him and his sibling(2014) in New Zealand as often as possible. Her third grandchild, also born in 2014 now has a sibling who arrived in February 2017. She is happy the last two live in America and gets to see them often as time allows!
Dr. Sheila can usually be found working with her Arabian horses, Jim Bob, and Moonlite, or with her McNabb Border Collie mix, Boomer. She spends many evenings with Boomer at dog obedience and agility classes. She and Boomer have competed and place regularly in AKC rally's, obedience training, and agility trials.
Serena is our newest veterinarian and just graduated from the Purdue Veterinary School in 2017. She has been working in the veterinary field for a long time and worked as an assistant for Dr Seth's father (also a Veterinarian), in Woodburn. She will be working part time with us here at Fort Wayne Pet Hospital, and part time in Woodburn at Maumee Valley Veterinary Clinic.
She is married to Cody, and they have an awesome Siberian Husky named Maya, and 2 cats named Pumpkin & Tigger (also awesome!). She and her family are very active with the Allen County 4H Fair. Other hobbies include beekeeping, camping, gardening, and playing softball.
